Glossfest Case Study: StageMobil S + LR in Norfolk Square
Expanding GlossFest with scalable staging solutions
GlossFest returned to Norfolk Square over the May Bank Holiday weekend for three days of free live music, food, and community activity. For the third year running, Clarva worked with Glossop Creative Trust, this time introducing the StageMobil S alongside the StageMobil LR. Set side by side, the two stages allowed back-to-back programming with no downtime between sets.
The Setup
Clarva supplied both the StageMobil S (4.4m x 3.75m) and the StageMobil LR (7m x 6m), providing organisers with a combination of smaller and larger performance areas. This dual staging approach gave the festival flexibility to run a packed line-up smoothly.

Site Logistics
Norfolk Square sits in the heart of Glossop, with limited space and a busy town-centre environment. Careful planning was needed to position and operate two mobile stages side by side without disrupting the wider festival footprint. Our crew coordinated load-in, build, and operation to deliver a seamless result across the long weekend.

Why this matters
For community-led festivals like GlossFest, reliable infrastructure is the foundation that makes the programming possible. Dual staging created more space for local and visiting acts, from Rook and The Ravens to The Guilty Men, while keeping energy levels high. With the Glossop Round Table Beer Festival, funfair, and food vendors all on site, the stages serves as a focal point of the event.
